Mission description

Under the supervision of the Project Manager and Technical Advisor of BeSME Project in Podgorica, the Project Assistant is responsible for following tasks:

1. Administrative tasks

  • Contact point for Project's partners: make appointments, regular update of calendar of activities

  • Logistical tasks: organisation of events (meeting room reservation, technical equipment, presence during all events)

  • Flight ticket reservation, hotels and transport for Project's team and experts

  • Ensure the interpretation (French/English/Montenegrin) during meetings

2. Financial tasks

  • Update regularly the local expenses in specific tables of the Project Budget

  • Monitor all costs and expenses (office supplies and purchase of new materials with attention to budgetary constraints )

  • With the support of the Project Manager, coordination with the Head Office in Paris when necessary, to organise and supervise the development of the financial control mechanisms of the Project, oversee budgets and expenditures and lead the preparation of budget revisions

3. Local Office duties

  • Regular control for the consumable supplies in the office

  • Regular purchase of office supplies, visibility/promotional material, and other local expenses

4. Communication

  • Interpretation when necessary during the meetings, English/French-Montenegrin

  • Writing, edit, publication and dissemination of articles about project activities through BeSME website and BeSME social media accounts

  • Assure the photo-taking during all events and report writing when necessary

Project or context description

The Enhancement of Business Environment and Competitiveness of the Private Sector of Montenegro is an EU-funded project led by Expertise France in partnership with Business France and Bpifrance, under the framework of IPA (Instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance).

With the ultimate goal of further enhancing business environment and competitiveness of the private sector of Montenegro, the project aims at strengthening the administrative capacity and framework for coordination, planning and implementation within Competitiveness and Innovation sectors through targeted support for development, research and innovation.

The project is benefiting main government institutions, the Ministries of Economy, of Finance, of Science, of Sustainable Development and Tourism as well as the Directorate for Development of SMEs and the Investment Promotion Agency. Other stakeholders are SMEs, Entrepreneurs, Clusters, Chambers of Commerce, Tehnopolis, the Business Centre Network and any other public/private organisations involved in the competitiveness and innovation sector in Montenegro.

Expertise France is looking for a project Assistant to support the project implementation, under the supervision of the Project Manager and the Technical Advisor, in Expertise France - Podgorica, with occasional travel to the other regions where the activities will be implemented.

Required profile

  • Bachelor degree in Economics, Language, or Finance

  • Professional working languages of English and Montenegrin are required

  • Good knowledge in French language is required

  • Proven working experience as secretary/assistant (+1 year)

  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and Word)

  • Proficient in updating website and social media, and articles writing

  • Comfortable in accounting management: invoices, payment, financial follow-up

  • Good in negotiations and networking

  • Good management and organisational skills

  • Attentive to details, especially in financial documents
